SHARQ VILLAGE & SPA DINING EXPERIENCE: A MYRIAD OF EPICUREAN SELECTIONS FOR DISCERNING PALATES

Those opting to dine at Al Liwan can sample an array of local, regional and international specialities including chef de cuisine Ali Hadla’s, sumptuous daily buffet. On offer is a selection of Oriental and Lebanese mezze, freshly prepared salads, traditional Qatari specialties, scrumptious saj and markouk breads, and an assortment of homemade moua’janat, all of which are sewed within an authentic Arabian atmosphere.

Chef Ali varies the buffet each day to combine new specialties and regional favourites with such mouth watering selections like roasted lamb ouzzi, mashawi mushakala; samak harra; samak chermoula and a display of fresh seafood such as seabass; red snapper; lobster; tiger prawns; hammour and salmon. At the grill station guests may feast on a selection of fine meats including beef sirloin; shish taouk; lamb kofta and marinated lamb cutlets.

For an indulgent finale, the buffet offers sweet treats along with an irresistible desert station prepared by Chef Rodrigo Vizarrettea. He delights guests with a sinful selection of puddings, assorted tarts, chocolate entremets, financiers, macaroons, cream puffs, individually prepared cheesecakes, apple pies, flans and more.

For those with an appetite for coastal flavours, the signature seafood restaurant Al Dana, offers an acclaimed blend of French, Mediterranean and Asian techniques and flavours. The chef’s culinary brilliance is highlighted with dishes on the menu such as the fisherman’s platter of Maine lobster, king crab, shrimp and mussels served on ice with fresh lemon, salmon fillet en papillote with braised fennel and a trio of oyster shooters. The daily selection features whole fish prepared to your liking; the chef recommends salmon either steamed with soy, ginger and cilantro or baked with lemon comfit and rosemary.

Al Dana includes a visually exciting show kitchen and sushi counter where diners can follow the preparation of their meal. For a more relaxed and al fresco environment, the outdoor terrace, offers stunning views over Doha bay, and make for a casual dining gathering spot for evening cocktails and stargazing. The colonial style cigar lounge is designed for the discriminating cigar aficionado or for one who merely enjoys the occasional cognac and a fine Cuban.  Furnished with deep leather chairs and table tops laid into marble. The bar offers a magnificent repository of Cuban cigar such as Cohiba, Behike, Partagas and more.
